SohojX Chat overview
Embeddable visitor and agent chat under your SohojX developer account.
SohojX Chat is a separate product from SohojX Auth. You create Chat applications in the dashboard, embed a visitor widget on your site, and let support agents reply from the hosted inbox or an agent embed on your admin panel.
One account, two products
Use one developer login for Auth and Chat. Billing and plan limits are per product (AUTH and CHAT). Auth limits never gate Chat, and Chat limits never gate OAuth.
Who uses what
- Developer — dashboard at /chat/applications: create apps, copy embeds, manage agents and pre-chat fields.
- Visitor — visitor widget on your public site; anonymous or identified with a chatVisitorId from your backend.
- Chat agent — /chat/agent/login or the agent embed; same email/password and JWT for platform inbox and embed.
Chat agents are not platform users and are not Auth end users. Developers create agent accounts and passwords; there is no public agent self-registration.
